Ghana Practical Information


Any traveller wishing to visit Ghana for a stay of less than three months must apply for a short stay visa. It is imperative to have obtained your visa before arriving in Ghana, or you risk being immediately turned away.
Some countries may be visa exempt for a short stay.

Vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory to enter Ghanaian territory.
Recommended vaccines: DTPP, hepatitis B, meningococcal meningitis (essential), malaria (essential), typhoid fever, hepatitis A.

Note: the international vaccination certificate can be requested upon arrival at the airport.
Following the global pandemic, Covid measures and tests can be applied from your country of origin and in your country of destination. Please consult your Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Health.

Driving License

Local and international driving licenses are required.
