Liberia Practical Information


Visitors wishing to travel to Liberia are subject to a visa requirement. They must have a valid passport, a return ticket and a vaccination certificate attesting to the vaccine against yellow fever.
Some travelers depending on their country of origin may be visa exempt.

Vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory to enter Liberian territory.
Recommended vaccines: DTPP, hepatitis B, meningococcal meningitis (essential), malaria (essential), typhoid fever, hepatitis A.

Note: the international vaccination certificate can be requested upon arrival at the airport.

Driving License
Local and international driving licenses are required. However, it is recommended to travel with a local driver in rural areas.
