Niger Practical Information

Passport
Visitors wishing to travel to Niger are subject to a visa requirement. They must have a passport valid 6 months after the expected return date and a vaccination record attesting to the yellow fever vaccine.

Some travellers depending on their country of origin may be visa exempt.

Health
Vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory to enter in Niger.
Recommended vaccines: DTPP, hepatitis B, meningococcal meningitis (essential), malaria (essential), typhoid fever, hepatitis A.

Note: the international vaccination certificate can be requested upon arrival at the airport.
Following the global pandemic, Covid measures and tests can be applied from your country of origin and in your country of destination. Please consult your Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Health.

Driving License

Local and international driving licenses are required (especially for family stays).
As part of the tours organised by Timuntu Travel, the agency only offers trips with a guide-driver.

Niger Standard Time is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT + 1). Niger is in the West Africa Time Zone (WAT).
